US accused of balloon spying by China – The White House responded again Monday evening to the unknown objects shot down over the country. There is no indication of aliens or extraterrestrial activity, press officer Karine Jean-Pierre said. The series of interceptions began last week with an alleged Chinese spy balloon. That country now accuses the US of balloon espionage.

According to Beijing, there were more than 10 times in the past year that a US balloon flew at high altitudes in Chinese airspace without permission.
Washington denies flying balloons over China. “That’s just absolutely not true,” said a White House spokesman. “The Chinese are trying to control the damage done by their espionage activity.”
The Americans shot down a flying object in the night from Sunday to Monday for the fourth time in one week. It is still not clear where three objects came from and what they were exactly.
The last object may be an “octagonal” cylinder. According to Pentagon press secretary John Kirby, there was no danger to people on the ground and the object did not appear to be able to move on its own.
China and the United States continue to contradict each other about the first object shot down. China speaks of a weather balloon that has gone off course. The Americans insist that it is a spy balloon. A lot of equipment would have been removed from the balloon.
