Priscilla’s lawyers write in a court document that everything is wrong with the changes to the will. For example, Priscilla’s name is said to be misspelled and Lisa Marie’s signature looks different. In addition, the adjustments would never have been handled by a civil-law notary. This would mean that the will is invalid.
With the changes, Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley and son Benjamin, who has since passed away, became the trustees of the trust fund that would house Elvis’ daughter’s legacy. The money and assets in that fund are intended for Lisa Marie’s underage daughters, among others. The fourteen-year-old twin sisters are not allowed to make that decision until they are adults.
Lisa Marie, Elvis’s only child, passed away on January 12. Her family held a farewell ceremony at the Graceland estate in Memphis last week.
